PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The B.Sc. (Honours)(Advanced Imaging Technology) (Lateral) programme is ideal for students who wish to broaden their prospects and enter a career field associated with medical research & development or technological research within companies that contribute to advancements in diagnostic imaging. The curriculum covers various aspects of medical imaging, including conventional and digital radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, mammography, and angiography. Students will gain a deep understanding of these imaging modalities, their principles, and their applications in diagnosing diseases and assessing injuries. After the programme, graduates have various career opportunities in the healthcare industry. Some potential career paths include CT/MRI Technologist, Radiology Department Supervisor, Quality Control Specialist etc.
NOTE: Student will have an option to exit at the end of 6th semester(2yrs) to obtain a degree in Bachelor of Science Advanced Imaging Technology (Lateral)

Applicants must fulfil the following norms.

  • Pass with 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of SC/ST category) in Diploma Examination in appropriate program of Paramedical Sciences recognized by any State technical council.
