Nemthianngai Guite is Associate Professor at the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She had been served as Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, for 11 years before joining Jawahrlal Nehru University.She has delivered lectures, chaired sessions and contributed in national and international conferences in various Institutions within the country and abroad.She has received many prestigious Awards and Fellowshps- e.g., Shastri Mobility Programme Grant Awardee, for research; Fulbright Nehru Post Doctoral Fellowship in Public Health; Young Scholar Award of the University of Hong Kong for Outstanding Abstract in the 2010 Joint World Conference on Social Work and Social Development; JRF-SFF Fellowship by the UGC are some to name.She is a Professional Social Work Practitioner and an academician. Her area of interests are Public Health, Indigeneous medicines and healing practices, Womens Health and Nutrition, Health of NorthEast India.
