Shantikam Hazarika is the Founder-Director of the Assam Institute of Management. He serves as the Chairman of Gauhati Stock Exchange Ltd. and has been an Independent Director of NHPC Ltd. and neepco Ltd. since 2012. Shri Hazarika has also served as an Independent Director of Lower Assam Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. as well as the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd. He is a member of the Assam State Electricity Board and has served as a Non-Executive Independent Director of Hindustan Copper Ltd. from 2008 to 2011. He holds a BE in Electrical and PG Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad.
