Health Facilities

The Assam Kaziranga University provides on-campus medical facilities for students and staff to address first aid needs in the event of an accident during class hours. The university has partnered with local hospitals in Jorhat for emergency situations. The healthcare centre is open from 9 AM to 5 PM on all working days and is staffed with one visiting doctor and three nursing assistants (1 male and 2 female). The visiting doctor is available every Wednesday from 3 PM to 4 PM, while the nursing staff are on-hand at all times to handle medical emergencies on campus.

The healthcare facility is equipped with essential medical equipment, including a Cardiac Monitor, Glucometer, Suction Apparatus, Pulse Oximeter, IV fluid infusion stand and set, Portable oxygen cylinder, Wheelchair, Infrared thermometer, Emergency injections and medications, BP apparatus with stethoscope, two Clinical beds, Suture removal set, dressing set with tray, vitals tray, autoclave (for sterilization), and 24/7 emergency ambulance service.
