As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, which deals in bringing academia-industry interface for the students of the North East, Kaziranga University recently organized the third Campus Recruitment Drive for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on the 10th of Feb, 2017, for all the Degree Final year students (B Com, BA, BBA, BBM, B.Sc., except CS, IT, ISM) of colleges in and around Jorhat.

More than 500 students from various colleges all over the region participated in the event, out of which 159 were selected for other qualifying rounds. At the end of a gruelling selection process, which included aptitude tests, group discussions, personal interviews and telephonic interviews, 68 students were finally recruited through this placement event.

The programme was conducted by the Placement Cell of Kaziranga University. Various officials from TCS and Kaziranga University were present to properly drive the placement process. Kaziranga University is leading the effort to give the final year graduating students of this region a chance to have a firsthand experience of a placement drive. Our Career counselling programmes which are also a part of our University Social Responsibility, lays special emphasis on empowering these students by imparting industry ready skills, which enables them to get good placements in the off campus drive.
