On the 12th of February, the Department of Mathematics, Kaziranga University organized a one-day workshop titled "Workshop on Fundamental Mathematics".

It was organized with the aim of providing young mathematicians of the region a platform to interact with their peers and experts in the field and to provide insights on the fundamentals of mathematics.

The program was a success with over 150 students from different regions of the state participating with great enthusiasm. The distinguished speakers of the workshop were:

• Prof. (Dr.) Rajen Kumar Sinha, IIT, Guwahati
• Dr. Bhupen Deka, IIT, Guwahati
• Dr. Chandra Chutia, Jist, Jorhat.
