The Faculty and students of the Physiotherapy Department at the School of Health Sciences, The Assam Kaziranga University, actively participated in the 10th Dr. MGM International Conference, Physiocon 2024, held at North Eastern Christian University, Dimapur, Nagaland, from January 21st to 25th, 2024. The distinguished event was graced by the Hon'ble Governor of Nagaland, His Excellency La Ganesan.

Dr. Bhatri Pratim Dowarah (PT), Senior Faculty of the Physiotherapy Department, served as the Regional Coordinator of the Conference and received felicitation from the Governor for his significant contributions to the field of Physiotherapy. Additionally, Dr. Manisha Madhukar Tonape (PT), Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, was honored for her outstanding contributions and excellence in the field. She delivered a noteworthy talk on "Recent Advancements in Upper Limb Prosthetics."

Among the students, Takke Junga, a 4th-semester MPT student, presented a scientific paper and secured the 3rd Prize. Ms. Jugashree Chetia, an 8th-semester BPT student, showcased her talent in Solo Dance and secured the 1st Prize, followed by Ms. Peacedeep Gogoi, who secured the 2nd Prize in the same category.

The team was led by dedicated faculty members, including Dr. Anamika Sahu (PT), Dr. Kankana Talukdar (PT), and Dr. Dikshita Darphang (PT). Additionally, students actively participated in a Pre-Conference Workshop on Aquatic Therapy, which was organized at Assam Women's University.
