Dr Rakesh Rai, Professor and Dean, School of Social Sciences, Assam Kaziranga University had been invited as a chairperson to the international conference on  Changing Dynamics Of Higher Education In South Asia And The 21st Century Transformative Goals: Contexts, Concern and Prospects. Dr Rai was chairing the panel on Women Empowerment and Higher Education on the said conference scheduled on 22^nd December, 2023. 

Also, Dr Saurabhi Sarmah, Associate Professor, Social Sciences, KU had been invited as co-chairperson to chair the panels on Women Empowerment And Higher Education and  Changing Dynamics And Dimensions Of Higher Education In South Asia in the same conference on 21^st December, 2023.  Sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi, the conference was and it was organized in collaboration with The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat and Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya, Golaghat, Assam. The conference attracted a considerable number of research scholars and academicians from India and abroad who participated in the conference and engaged in meaningful discussions and deliberations on the given theme and subthemes.

It also needs to be mentioned that the following faculty of KUSSS -  Dr Aditya Bhatta, Dr Golak Bihari Patra, Ms Mayuri Bharali , Ms Anangsha Rajguru and Ms Adipriya  Baruah had also participated  in the seminar and presented papers on diversified areas. The conference was convened by  Mr Anjan Saikia, Assistant Professor, Department of English and & Co-coordinator, IQAC Kamargaon College  and  Dr. Gayatree Bora, Associate Professor & HoD, Department of English, Kamargaon College was the co-convener of this conference.
