The Assam Kaziranga University in association with MSME DFO - Guwahati, under Department of MSME, Govt. of India. Organized a Two-Day National Level IP Yatra - A Sojourn to Acquire IP Assets’ at the university campus.
IP Yatra, is an initiative of Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises to improve the IP culture in India with the interventions: to enhance the awareness of Intellectual Property Rights (lPRs) amongst the MSMEs and to encourage creative intellectual endeavor in Indian economy; to take suitable measures for the protection of ideas, technological innovation and knowledge-driven business strategies developed by the MSMEs for their commercialization and effective utilization of IPR tools and equip MSMEs and grass root innovators with recent technology for empowering them to integrate IPR into their business strategies and improving their capabilities within the area of enforcement.
More than 100 students and faculties; recognized MSME from Assam and a panel of eminent guests and entrepreneurs took part in the two-day national event. Invited speakers and guests include: Dr. Vaibhav V. Goud (Professor, IIT Guwahati), Ms Frarma (IP for Business Division, WIPO), Dr. Aruna (Ex-AVP CIPAM), Ms. Yasin Phukan, Asstt. Director (Commissionerate Of Industries & Commerce Department, Govt. of Assam), etc. Mr. Sujit Ghosh, Add. Dir, MSME – DFO, Guwahati spoke and interacted with the students, faculties and entrepreneurs and highlighted the importance of IPR during the event.
