Event Name: Business Plan Competition

Organized By: School of Business, The Assam Kaziranga University

• The event titled "Business Plan Competition" was the event organised in the month of February. The event has been organised by the School of Business and included participants from the UG/PG students.
• The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Manvinder Singh Pahwa, Dean School of Business along with the Deans and Faculties from various Schools in the University. The event included Dr. Rajesh Jesudasan, Dean of School of Pharmacy, Dr. M.K. Loganathan, Professor, Associate Dean (Post Graduate) & HOD(ME) and Professor Sanjay Mohpatra, Visiting Faculty of MBA Department of Commerce as the judges for the competition.  A total of 12 groups participated in the event who were given a total of 7 minutes to present followed by 3 minutes of questioning by the judges. The winners of the event are-
  First Prize – Rescue Cab ( MBA IV)
  Second Prize – Bijaya and team (BBA IV)
  Thirs Prize– Team Handy Mandy (BCom IV)
  Best Presenters  – Team Kol-Chips (BBA VI)
  The winners received a cash prize of Rs. 1500/-, the first runner-up received Rs. 1200/- and second runner-up recived Rs. 900/- along with certificates to all of them including the Best Presenter Team.
• The main purpose of organising the event was to give a platform to the students where can pitch their business plan and ideas.. This competition gave them an opportunity to showcase the financial plan, marketing strategies, supply chain management , market analysis, competition analysis and presentation skills in the business plan. The students have learnt the process of managing their businesses in accounts during this endeavour. The competition has allowed the students in team building and time management practices.
• The event has been organised by the School of Business, The Assam Kaziranga University. Organising Members from School of Business include- Dr. Manvinder Singh Pahwa (Program Director), Prof Eikjyot Kour and Prof Nitesh Kumar (Coordinator of Business Plan competition), Surbhi Kothari Jain (Student Coordinator) and Muzahidul Islam Siddique (Student Coordinator).
