Coding community club (CCC) is a club for all students who are interested in learning programming languages, taking part in tech events, and helping members of the community to learn new tech skills in a fun and supportive way. The coding community club organizes workshops and events on various tech topics to motivate the students to learn those skills and also encourages students to take part in hackathons, and build things on their own.
On 1st April, the core members of the Coding Community Club organized an opening event for the Coding Community Club itself, to declare the formation of the club and also to announce the planning and objective of the club which was held in Room 321 on SET Building. Dr. Tadimalla V V L N Rao, Dean SET delivered a speech to encourage the students and also congratulated the members for the formation of this club. Dr. Utpal Barman, Associate Professor, SET and Mentor and Chairperson of the Coding community club congratulated all members and stated the objective of the club. Prof. Ratan Kr. Saha, Dean of SCS, AKU delivered a lecture on the various events and competitions in which the students can take part. At the event, Dr. Shwetambara Verma, HoD, Civil Engineering, and Advisor of the coding club also motivated students with her speech. Dr. Ritunjoy Bhuyan, HoD, EE & ECE, SET also encourage and congratulates the coding club member for their initiatives.
Dr. Pranav Kumar, Mr. Amlan Jyoti Baruah, Dr. Nazreena Rahman, and Ms. Nilashi Gogoi, faculties of the CSE department, SET, also motivated and congratulates the coding club member for their initiatives. Later that day, The workshop on Git & GitHub was organized. Angshuman Barpujari, the president, of the Coding community club, presented and gave a hands-on demonstration on the basic functions of Git & Github. The students were divided into groups for monitoring their progress and for solving their doubts. Kiran Rai, Vice-president, Coding community club; Anish Modi, Secretary, Coding community club; Gitartha Kalita, Joint secretary, Coding community club; Roktim Senapoty, BTech CSE, 6th sem, Aditya Singh, BTech CSE, 6th sem was associated and monitoring one of each group.
The topics which were taught are: git repository initiation, adding the file to the staging index, committing a file to the repository for creating a checkpoint, stashing the working file directory to revert changes, and getting back to the previous checkpoint.
