On 25 October 2025, School of Computing Sciences hosted a one day workshop on “Recent Trends in Artificial Intelligence” for the class IX students of Carmel School Jorhat. The Program duration was 2 Hrs and covered topics like Fundamentals of AI, AR/VR, Gen AI and Agentic AI with live demonstrations by the experts. 130 students from Carmel School Jorhat attended the event. The sessions were interactive and made with aims to introduce and expand the student’s knowledge of AI , which is one of the most prevalent topics of this generation.

• Fundamental of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision along with Live Demonstration - Abir Banerjee
• Introduction to AR and VR with Live Demonstration - Nawab Washim Rahman
• Introduction to Gen AI and Agentic AI with Live Demonstration- Amarjeet Boruah
• Interactive session with students on various research topics like economics and other sciences where AI integration is possible.

• After the workshop, teachers from Carmel School Jorhat applauded the experts and asked for a possible visit to their institution as guest faculty and hinted at more future collaboration.
• Students were very interactive and enjoyed the workshop. Wanted more of this kind of workshop.
