KU, Jorhat; 14th June,2022: The Assam Kaziranga University (KU), Jorhat today celebrated its 10th foundation day in a befitting manner. On this occasion, Dr Prashant Goswami, Chairman IFSA, former Director NISTADS ,New Delhi ,a S.S. Bhatnagar Awardee (2001) and Dr. G. Narahari Sastry, Director ,CSIR-NEIST, Former Head(Molecular Modelling Division )-IICT, Hyderabad a S.S. Bhatnagar Awardee(2011) were the chief guest for the occasion. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. A . Srihari Krishna, Registrar and Professor, The Assam Kaziranga University. He briefed about the glorious 10 years that the university have completed and encouraged one and all for working towards upliftment of this university. The opening remarks was presented by Dr P K Mishra, Vice Chancellor, The Assam Kaziranga University. He spoke about how the University was established with a vision and mission and with humble intention by the Khetan family to provide a world class educational experience for the students of North East Jndia in Jorhat. He also mentioned about the progress of the Institute and appreciated the efforts of all staff and faculties associated with this organization. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor also mentioned about two one of its kind programs ALIST(Achieving leadership for India in S & T), a conclave of SS Bhatnagar Awardees and NESID ( North East Sustainable and Inclusive Development) to be held in the campus on November, 2022. The Keynote Address of the event was presented by Dr Prashant Goswami and Dr G. Narahari Sastry where they congratulated the university fraternity for the successful 10 years of the university. Both of them mainly spoke about sustainable development of the region which is the need of the hour. They briefed about their pleasant association with KU and encouraged everyone to thrive towards making KU an institution of global recognition. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Jayanta Kumar Sarmah , Dean & Professor , SBS, KU . Thanking the hon'ble dignitaries for their precious time and encouraging words and all the present members for their presence the meeting concluded.
