Conceptualized in the year 1993, The Mathematics Training and Talent Search (MTTS) programme is one for young minds that are inclined towards Mathematics. A large number of applications are received from all parts of the country for the MTTS programmes. However, due to limitation of resources and seats, many deserving students do not get a chance to participate in the main camps of the MTTS. In order to provide opportunities to a large number of students at regional levels, a mini-MTTS programme has been initiated. Kaziranga University successfully organized a mini-MTTS from 22nd to 27th of February, 2020 which was coordinated by Dr. Dimpal Jyoti Mahanta, HoD, Department of Mathematics, Kaziranga University. The mini-MTTS witnessed the presence of 41 enthusiastic participants from different parts of North East India. The event was also graced by Prof. Bhaba K. Sarma, IIT Guwahati, Dr. Dhiren Kumar Basnet, Tezpur University ,Dr. Gayatri Panicker, IIT Kanpur, Dr Diganta Munshi, Registrar Kaziranga University and the Deans from all the Schools.

It was indeed a matter of great joy for our University, to have hosted such a prestigious programme and we look forward to continuing this initiative in the near future.
