Dr. Saurabhi Sarmah, Associate Professor and Director of Student Welfare at Assam Kaziranga University, has been awarded a research grant of Rs. 8,00,000 (Rupees Eight Lakh) for undertaking a project titled “Voices from the Gardens: Women as Agents of Development in the Tea Gardens of Jorhat, Assam.” The project has been sanctioned under the “Punyashloka Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Special Call for Women-Led Research on Women-Led Development.” This achievement stands as a matter of great pride for the School of Social Sciences and Assam Kaziranga University.
