Kaziranga University Expands TechBlitz to Guwahati, Inspiring 350+ Students

In a landmark step towards taking innovation beyond its campus, The Assam Kaziranga University (KU) brought its flagship technology fest, TechBlitz, to Guwahati for the very first time.

Hosted at the GMCH Auditorium, the event brought together 350+ students and faculty members from 14 prominent schools and colleges, including Montfort Senior Secondary School, Hindustan Kendriya Vidyalaya, Noonmati Public School, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara.

Since its inception in 2017, TechBlitz has served as a dynamic platform to make science and technology engaging through live demonstrations, workshops, and student innovations. This year’s edition, held outside the KU campus, marked the beginning of a larger vision to reach learners where they are and ignite curiosity through real-world exposure.

The event featured thought-provoking sessions by Dr. Ripunjoy Gogoi, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, on “AI for Everyone and 21st-Century Career Skills,” and Dr. Nazma Sultana Hussain, Head of Optometry, on “Global Trends and Future Directions in Allied Health Care.” Students also witnessed groundbreaking project displays, from firefighting robots to AR/VR models and medical technology innovations.

Kaziranga University believes that technology should travel where students are. It has always been the university’s mission to bridge academic learning with practical innovation.

Through TechBlitz 2025 – Guwahati Edition, Kaziranga University reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young minds, nurturing a culture of creativity and exploration, and expanding the frontiers of learning across Northeast India.
