Here is a story of Ms Anangsha Tamuly and Mr Kashyap Koushik who have been pursuing BA in Sociology from the School of Social Sciences, Kaziranga University. Both of them came forward with an aim to utilize their summer break for doing 'something' for society and decided to join hands with their friends from Dibrugarh University and did a voluntary internship (apart from the scheduled internships in the department) at Parijat Academy, Guwahati as teaching interns to work for the development of the underprivileged children and took classes on English and Mathematics for the students of class III TO VII. Apart from it, they also trained them to do various activities like March Past, singing, dancing, reading, public speaking, storytelling, debate, extempore speech, etc.
When asked, Anangsha and Kashyap Koushik were quite enthusiastic about sharing their experience and said it was quite exciting to work with those students and contribute a bit for the betterment of the upcoming generations, and thanked Mr. Uttam Teron, the owner of Parijat Academy for giving them the opportunity to mingle with the young children.
